When Less Is Really More
We have all heard the statement that “less is more.” When it comes time to take pictures to market your house for sale, it couldn’t be more true. The whole idea is to present each room in the best possible light. With this in mind, stand at the threshold of each room and look in. What do you see? Are there items that are distracting? Should things be removed from the room? Are there things that should be straightened?
The problem is that we are all too busy during our days to notice a lot of what is around us. Unfortunately, buyers see everything, be it consciously or unconsciously. It doesn’t matter which form of consciousness it is, as they both have a way of registering in the subconscious. If a person sees too much “wrong,” then the potential for this house is now at zero and they will move on to the next one.
Keep in mind – you only have one chance to make a first impression. Make sure it’s the best that it can be.
